Beyond merely flattening and stabilizing your LPs, the SS-100 record weight reduces micro-vibrations around the record label that can introduce subtle noise and obscure the music. A stainless-steel record isolator featuring ten micro ruby balls, fits over the spindle and rests on the record label. To prevent deadening the sound, the ruby balls are set into a layer of black Delrin, making precise contact with the label. This results in a sound that is quieter, more detailed, and remarkably lifelike.
 
The SS-100 measures 0.75 inches high by 2.75 inches wide and weighs 1.7 pounds (20 x 70 mm; 760 g).
